Gertrude Engel (???? – ????) During the 1950’s, Danish silversmith, Gertrude Engel designed pieces for the Anton Michelson company and is recognized as an important figure in Danish jewelry design.
A modernist, her jewelry designs are often based on plant-life found along the Danish coast. Engel’s output includes necklaces, brooches, and bracelets inspired by patterns found in nature.
